What Do Drivers Need To Have To Qualify For Insurance Coverage?

Because we offer insurance coverage at a special group rate to drivers in our program, we offer extremely competitive rates. As a result, to qualify for coverage an I/C needs to meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • A valid CDL
  • 2 years commercial driving experience
  • Be leased to a motor carrier 
  • Have an MVR that meets underwriting guidelines

What Kind Of Payment Plans Do You Offer?

Since every trucking business has its own unique accounting needs, we give our clients many choices in order to best support their business cash flow. For this reason, monthly, bi-weekly & weekly payment plans are available to owner operators.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Payment via ACH withdrawal from the bank account
  • Payment via credit card – a service fee applies
  • Payment via settlement deduct program
Are Premiums Pro-Rated?

No, premiums are not pro-rated.

For example, if a unit is on the list bill effective 1st day of the month, then that month’s full premium is due. If a driver adds coverage after the 1st of a month, their start-up cost is only 1 month’s premium plus the 1 month deposit – the premium collected gets them paid through the current month and for the entire next month, so essentially the fact that we do not pro-rate evens out (on average) depending upon the start / termination date.

To sum up, all premium is collected on a Month-in-Advance basis and requires 1 Month Deposit to be held by MSTG to secure payment.

Is My Truck Eligible For The Warranty Program?

If your truck is UNDER 1,000,000 miles at the time of enrollment, you are eligible for the warranty program.

Unfortunately, if your truck is OVER 1,000,000 miles (even with an overhauled engine), you are not eligible.

Is An Inspection Required For The Warranty Program?

No inspection is required.

However, there is a 30 day waiting period after you sign up and are billed before your warranty activates. For example, if you sign up on July 14th, your warranty coverage will be active starting on September 1st.

Where Can I Get My Truck Fixed Under Warranty–Do I Need To Go To An NTP Shop?

NTP’s repair network of over 5,000 repair facilities includes both dealerships and local shops.

If the facility is not in our network, your truck repair can only happen if the facility contracts with NTP before repairs begin. Additionally, NTP claims professionals are available 24/7 by phone or email and to direct you to the nearest in-network repair facility.
